The comprehensive renovation of Dunakapu Square and the Móricz Zsigmond Embankment in Győr was carried out by WHB between 2014 and 2016 as one of the most significant urban renewal projects in the city center.
The scope of the project included:
complete reconstruction of the square and installation of decorative paving,
creation of new community spaces, terraces, and pedestrian areas,
structural and aesthetic reconstruction of the embankment,
new utility, transportation, and lighting infrastructure,
construction of an underground parking garage to alleviate parking congestion in the city center.
