Tatabánya Community Space and Underground Parking Garage

A two-story underground parking garage with 279 spaces has been built on the site of the former 12,000-square-meter, 125-space parking lot at street level on Megyeháza Square, significantly alleviating the county seat’s parking difficulties. Above the underground garage—at the same level as Árpád Square—a new event and community space has been created, featuring green islands, street furniture, and a drinking fountain and water feature. The event space and sidewalks have been paved with cobblestones across a 6,400-square-meter area.
