13.5 Million HUF Donation: Győr Hospital Receives Anaesthesia Machines Suitable for Ventilation

West Hungária Bau Kft. has been supporting various departments of the Petz Aladár County Teaching Hospital in Győr for more than ten years, providing high-value medical equipment that contributes to modern and effective patient care. In 2019 alone, the paediatric surgery department received support worth a total of HUF 4,500,000.

Now, during the coronavirus pandemic that has shaken the entire world, it is even more important for owner and Managing Director Attila Paár to support doctors and healthcare workers in their fight against the pandemic. To this end, West Hungária Bau Kft. and the Foundation for the Győr Hospital have signed a donation agreement for the procurement of two anaesthesia and ventilator machines, with a total value of HUF 13,500,000.

The high-value equipment, which will contribute to the development of the medical equipment portfolio of the Central Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Department of the Petz Aladár County Teaching Hospital, was handed over on 5 June 2020 by Attila Paár, Managing Director of West Hungária Bau Kft., to Dr László János Tamás, Director General and Chief Physician of the hospital.

As Dr László János Tamás explained, the Comen Anesthesia Machine AX 700 devices are primarily used in operating theatres. During procedures performed under anaesthesia, they are required for ventilating patients, administering anaesthetic vapours and monitoring vital functions.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital must maintain an operating theatre and the necessary equipment for the treatment of infected patients, as well as patients suspected of being infected, who require surgery. The donation therefore greatly facilitates the rational allocation of anaesthesia machines for the hospital management.

Naturally, the donation will also continue to support the work of doctors in the future, as modern anaesthesia machines and the ongoing renewal of medical equipment are continuously needed for the effective treatment of patients.

As Managing Director Attila Paár said: “Supporting the Petz Aladár County Teaching Hospital has long been a recurring element of our donation policy. Year after year, we support the hospital’s equipment procurement efforts with several million forints, and this donation represents another milestone in a tradition of more than ten years, which we intend to continue in the future.”

Through this donation, West Hungária Bau Kft. and Attila Paár, owner and Managing Director, also aim to make the dedicated work of healthcare professionals easier during this difficult period, while setting an example for others who are also in a position to help.
