Our company, WHB Group, is currently working on nearly fifty projects across the most diverse sectors of the construction industry. Our six divisions — ranging from energy and environmental protection to the reconstruction of heritage buildings — meet the most complex and fascinating architectural challenges day after day, something of which we are extremely proud. None of this success would be possible, however, without humility towards our profession and a constant commitment to the highest standards under all circumstances.
Perhaps the key to our success lies in the fact that the spirit of the company reflects the attitude of its leader in every respect. Perfectionism, hard work and deep respect for the profession are also defining characteristics of Attila Paár, founder, owner and Managing Director of West Hungária Bau Kft.
Our company has been present in the construction industry since 1997. It first proved its capabilities through commissions from major companies such as Coca-Cola and Audi, and as its significance in the market grew, it received an increasing number of public-sector assignments. As a result, a dedicated heritage division was also established among the company’s major project areas.
“Heritage buildings are close to my heart. I consider working on them to be the pinnacle of the profession. Architecture is art, and it is therefore a tremendous honour that we can contribute to the works of creators whom I hold in such high regard, such as Miklós Ybl,” says Attila Paár, who is also an art lover in his private life and owns a significant painting collection. His future plan in this regard is to make the collection accessible and visitable to the public.
Art, however, is not the only field to which he feels deeply committed. Our company leader was born in Győr, completed his studies there, and as a local patriot, he does a great deal to support local causes. His outlook also strongly influences the generous sponsorship policy of West Hungária Bau Kft., which extends to areas such as healthcare, vocational education, children’s welfare and environmental protection.

For more than ten years, the company has also supported the operation of the Petz Aladár County Teaching Hospital in Győr through high-value donations. The most recent example of this was a contribution of HUF 13.5 million, enabling the institution to acquire two anaesthesia and ventilator machines to help ease the capacity difficulties caused by the pandemic situation.
The hospital’s Director General recently presented certificates of appreciation to the institution’s patrons — including Attila Paár — who provided significant support to the hospital’s operations in the fight against the pandemic.
“We can create lasting value by taking action for the future: by ensuring that the values that matter to us will continue to exist in the years to come. Whether this means strengthening architectural education in Hungary, renovating the heritage buildings that form part of our national legacy, or simply making the lives of future generations — our children — better and more liveable,” Paár summarises on behalf of the company.
