Strengthening International Supplier Partnerships at WHB Group – CzechTrade Sourcing Day Concludes Successfully

WHB Group has reached another important milestone in the development of its international procurement strategy. Through the CzechTrade Sourcing Day, organized in cooperation with CzechTrade Hungary, the Hungarian office of the Czech Trade Promotion Agency, and the Embassy of the Czech Republic, the Group provided a platform for direct business discussions between leading Czech construction suppliers and its own key decision-makers.

The two-day professional event, held in Biatorbágy, featured a total of thirteen in-person meetings and two online consultations, all focused on showcasing innovative, energy-efficient, and premium-quality construction solutions. In line with the Group’s strategic approach to supplier selection, participating companies were carefully chosen based on their ability to contribute products and technologies that support the delivery of complex, high-specification construction projects.

The importance of the event reflects the position of WEST HUNGÁRIA BAU Ltd., the Group’s flagship company, as one of Hungary’s leading construction firms. For nearly three decades, the company has delivered large-scale and technologically sophisticated developments, where access to a stable, competitive, and innovative supplier base is essential to long-term success. Accordingly, the Sourcing Day represented far more than a networking opportunity; it served as a key step in establishing the foundations for future business partnerships.

The prestige of the event was further enhanced by the participation of Her Excellency Eva Dvořáková, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Hungary. Based on her experience during the programme, the Ambassador formed an exceptionally positive impression of WHB Group. Feedback from the participating manufacturers likewise confirmed the company’s reputation as an attractive, reliable, and highly respected partner within the international business community.

Throughout the two-day programme, thirteen potential suppliers introduced their products and solutions, including companies specializing in windows and façade systems, thermal insulation technologies, flooring and cladding materials, and structural ceiling solutions. The discussions resulted in a number of promising new business relationships, creating opportunities for future project-level cooperation while also contributing to increased competition within the supplier network.

The event clearly demonstrated the value of fostering international partnerships and highlighted the significant potential for future Czech–Hungarian cooperation in the construction sector. By continuously expanding its international supplier network and strengthening access to innovative technologies, WHB Group remains committed to supporting the successful delivery of high-quality projects across the region.
