Robotic Dogs at WHB – When the Technology of the Future Is Already Supporting the Construction Industry Today
The construction industry is undergoing a major transformation worldwide. Growing expectations for efficiency, labour shortages, increasingly complex projects and heightened safety requirements all point in the same direction: digitalisation and robotisation are no longer just possibilities, but competitive advantages. Companies that recognise this in time do not merely keep pace with the market — they also help shape its future.
This is precisely what WHB believes in. The company is committed to continuous development, remains open to innovative solutions, and actively seeks technologies that provide real, tangible support in everyday construction work. A striking example of this commitment was the robotic dog demonstration, which offered an insight into how digitalisation can become an integral part of construction projects.
An Impressive Technology Demonstration in Győr
On 2 March 2026, WHB organised a special and forward-looking event in Győr: a robotic dog demonstration initiated by WHB’s digitalisation department and coordinated by Péter Czelter, Regional Director. The aim of the event was to give participants a first-hand opportunity to discover intelligent devices that, in the near future — and indeed already in the present — can take construction processes to a new level.
The programme was delivered with the contribution of recognised experts from Infuze Robotics and Nortemsy Zrt., Zoltán Dibó and János Körömi. In cooperation with the two companies, WHB has taken an important step forward in the robotisation of construction execution. Infuze Robotics is responsible for the distribution and servicing of the robotic devices, while Nortemsy Zrt. provides the advanced software background behind the robots. This high level of harmony between hardware and software enables these tools to be much more than technological curiosities: they can create real business and operational value.
Robotic Dogs in a Real Construction Environment
The demonstration featured several robotic dogs of different sizes and capabilities, which are already suitable for supporting work in real construction environments. The experts integrated a map tailored to WHB’s office building and car park in Győr into the system, allowing the robots to demonstrate their capabilities not through theoretical examples, but in a live, real-world environment.
The demonstration clearly showed that robotic dogs offer impressive functions:
They can navigate independently using GPS-based navigation.
They can recognise obstacles and safely avoid them.
They can capture photos and data at predefined points.
They can prepare analyses and reports.
They perform all of this precisely, consistently and without human intervention.
These capabilities make them especially valuable in areas such as documentation, inspection, site monitoring and even safety assessments.
Why Robotic Dogs Are Key Players in the Construction Industry
Robotisation in construction is no longer a futuristic vision — it is already part of the present. Intelligent devices, including robotic dogs, offer tangible benefits:
They relieve colleagues of repetitive and time-consuming tasks.
They increase accuracy and the reliability of data.
They accelerate data collection and inspection processes.
They contribute to safer working conditions, particularly in hard-to-reach or high-risk areas.
Digitalised data collection and automated analysis make it possible for decisions to be based on data, while projects become more transparent and more efficient.
WHB’s Vision: Leading Through Innovation
For WHB, technological development is not an end in itself. The goal is for every innovation to create genuine added value in projects — whether in meeting deadlines, improving cost efficiency or enhancing colleagues’ working conditions.
The robotic dog demonstration sent a clear message: WHB is open to new solutions, actively seeks and tests the latest technologies, and remains committed in the long term to making digitalisation an integral part of the company’s operations.
The future of construction is already taking shape — and WHB is at the forefront.
