A Wave of Awards for WHB at the FIABCI Awards Gala

WHB Projects Sweep the Awards at the Real Estate Development Awards of Excellence

On 21 November, Hotel Helia hosted the ceremonial awards gala of the 27th Hungarian Real Estate Development Awards of Excellence, where the most outstanding projects of Hungary’s real estate development sector were recognised.

West Hungária Bau Kft. (WHB) once again demonstrated its professional excellence, receiving awards in several categories — with every submitted project earning recognition.

All WHB Projects Returned from the FIABCI Gala with Awards

The award-winning WHB projects include:

Dunakeszi Student Quarter – The aim of the project is to create a modern and liveable environment for the younger generation, contributing to the long-term development of the city. We are extremely proud that the project won first prize in the Education category.

Reconstruction of the Former Royal Hungarian Ministry of Finance – The renewal of the historic building is exemplary not only from an architectural perspective, but also in terms of preserving cultural value. The project won third prize and also received the special award of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In line with tradition, the applicants once again voted for the best development this year. As a result of the secret ballot, the reconstruction of the former Royal Hungarian Ministry of Finance received this special recognition.

Kovács Katalin National Kayak-Canoe Academy – A sports facility that not only enriches Hungarian sporting life, but also raises the infrastructure of water sports to a new level. The project received the special award of the FIABCI Hungarian Chapter.

The “Cube” Building of Széchenyi István University’s Science Park – The development of Győr’s science and innovation centre was implemented with forward-looking, sustainable solutions, strengthening the relationship between the university and industry. The project won the special award of the Hungarian Chamber of Architects.

International Perspective

The FIABCI awards represent not only national recognition: the winning projects automatically qualify for the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence international competition, where Hungarian developments have achieved outstanding success in recent years.

“It is a great honour and joy for us that the jury found our submitted projects worthy of recognition. These awards not only validate WHB’s professional work, but also highlight the innovative strength of the Hungarian construction industry,” emphasised Attila Paár, founder and owner of WHB.

“The awards represent not only prestige, but also strengthen WHB’s position in the domestic and international real estate development market. Our company remains committed to quality, sustainability and innovation.”
